Laura Guyer is a trainer and management consultant with over 20 years of experience providing training and training management services in multi-cultural environments. She specializes in the design of professional training programs, executive coaching, and all aspects of organizational development focusing on such areas as strengthening leadership and management skills, communication skills, and performance management. She has worked with public, private and non-profit clients in the United States, Africa, the Middle East, Latin America, Asia and Europe. Since joining TRG in 1999, she has worked on gender projects for the Consultative Group on International Agricultural Research and the U.S. Agency for International Development, and has provided training and technical support to numerous large-scale USAID-funded projects in the field in a range of sectors. Her other clients include the Department of Commerce, AMIDEAST, the United Nations Development Programme, the United Nations Population Fund, the World Bank, and the International Development Research Centre. Ms. Guyer served as a Peace Corps volunteer and Training Director in the Solomon Islands and Papua New Guinea and as a Training Specialist for the Peace Corps in Morocco. Likewise, she spent multiple years in academia as department head of English-as-a-Second-Language programs at Butler University in Indianapolis, Indiana and University of Portland in Portland, Oregon.
