Project Operations Associate, SEEK
Alaina Walton is a project management and operations professional with five years of experience in international affairs and higher education. Since joining TRG, Alaina has served as the Project Operations Associate on USAID’s Sharing Environment and Energy Knowledge (SEEK), Communications, Evidence and Learning (CEL), and Education Performance Improvement, Communications and Knowledge (EPIC) Contracts for the E3 Bureau. Prior to joining TRG, Alaina worked for the Gates Millennium Scholars Program where she designed academic and professional development programming for low-income students of color. In her roles with the U.S. Department of Commerce, as well as the United Negro College Fund Special Programs (UNCFSP), Alaina worked on issues surrounding global entrepreneurship and gained experience planning international trade delegations to Mexico and South Africa. She has experience in program administration, budget management, and grant writing; and has worked and studied in France, Western Samoa, and South Africa. Her professional interests include climate change adaptation and sea-level rise, as well as gender-based violence prevention in the Pacific. Alaina holds a bachelor’s degree in international studies from Spelman College. She loves the mountains and tries to travel to at least one new country each year.
