Chief of Party, CEL
Aleisha joined TRG in May 2018 as Chief of Party to run the newly awarded USAID Communications, Evidence, and Learning (CEL) project. CEL supports USAID’s Land and Urban Office and Office of Local Sustainability with evidence-based communications and learning. Aleisha has over 20 years of experience consulting and managing projects related to clean energy and climate; 12 of those years included work in developing countries through projects for the World Bank, APEC, and USAID. Prior to TRG, Aleisha worked for ICF as Chief of Party for USAID’s Energy Efficiency for Clean Development Program (EECDP), and supported launch of the DOE’s Better Buildings Program. Aleisha also served as the Executive Director of the Building Codes Assistance Project where she led national advocacy and technical support for improved energy efficiency. Before starting a career in energy and climate, Aleisha worked in art departments on Hollywood films and taught residential-based environmental education in the San Juan Islands and the Northwoods. Aleisha holds a M.E.M. from Duke University in Natural Resource Economics and Policy, and a master degree and a B.A. in Architecture from the University of Illinois. She loves traveling abroad and has also driven cross-country in the U.S. 3 times and has been to every state except one (Vermont!).
