Kara Leroux joined TRG in August 2018 and is currently a Project Associate. In this role, she supports events with a variety of TRG clients including American Chemical Society, U.S. Agency for International Development, and International Federation of Red Cross. She works to help support TRG’s Organizational Development/Training Consultants to provide the highest level of service and responsiveness to TRG’s clients by assisting with material creation, final reports, co-facilitation, and general event support. Kara has five years of experience in training in the education field, both in domestic and international contexts. Before coming to TRG, Kara was a Peace Corps volunteer in Lesotho through their education program where she worked with the Ministry of Education and a local school to assist with the professional development of rural teachers. She then worked at a DC public charter school both in the classroom and in the support and development of an English Language Learner program. Kara received her bachelor’s degree in International Development from American University, and her Master’s of Education in International Education Policy from the Harvard Graduate School of Education. Kara lives with her husband, a fellow Lesotho Returned Peace Corps volunteer, in Columbia Heights. She loves travelling, trying the various pupuserias in her neighborhood, and making weekly trips to their nearest public library!
