Sr. Communications Specialist, SEEK
Shereen Abdelaaty joined TRG in April 2019 as the Senior Communications Consultant on the USAID-funded Sharing Environment and Energy Knowledge (SEEK) project. In this capacity, she supports several environment offices in their communications efforts. She is accomplished in program management, monitoring and evaluation, recruitment, and training activities for donors and host-country counterparts alike. Prior to joining TRG, Shereen spent the majority of her career (19 years) working with DAI, both in the home office and in the field. She spent 3 years as the Knowledge Management Advisor on the USAID-funded TAPR II project in Egypt. She also supported the Bureau for Food Security on the highly acclaimed Africa Lead II Project. During her tenure with DAI, Shereen worked in 11 countries. She holds a master’s degree in Middle Eastern Studies from the University of Texas and is certified in advanced facilitation. In addition to her native English, she is fluent in Arabic and has a basic knowledge of French. When not working, Shereen enjoys spending times outdoors, travellng, exploring, and eating her way through new destinations.
