Shira Babow joined the EPIC team as a Project Associate in February 2019. She supports USAID’s E3/Education Office activities with EPIC, including work on organizational effectiveness, professional development, knowledge management, and communications. Previously, she taught English, reading, and study skills to students of all ages in both the US and in Kyrgyzstan. She was also the co-director of an educational program on human-centered design in Geneva, Switzerland, where she became deeply involved in the social entrepreneurship community. Shira holds a Masters in Development Studies from the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies in Geneva and a Bachelor’s degree in International Studies from UC San Diego. In her spare time, she enjoys kickboxing, yoga, and exploring the restaurant scene in DC.
