In seasons of change, TRG returns to what grounds us: our values, our relationships, and the work we are called to do at home and in the world. Today, we share another such moment of change with immense gratitude and deep hope for the road ahead.

After guiding our company with compassion and clarity through one of the most complex, challenging, and transformative chapters in our history, Ailea Sneller has concluded her tenure as CEO. We are proud to recognize and celebrate Ailea’s extraordinary leadership. Throughout a time marked by global upheaval and the shifting tides of international development, she held TRG steady. She anchored us in our values, deepened our commitment to equity and impact, and navigated the organization through necessary and often difficult change.

We are also delighted to announce that Sherise Liles has stepped into the role of Chief Executive Officer. A longtime consulting practitioner and member of our leadership team, Sherise brings an abundance of wisdom, warmth, and strategic vision to this next chapter. Her appointment reflects continuity in TRG’s core commitments and offers a powerful opportunity as we explore what it means to be a purpose-driven company in this new, and ever-changing context.

This leadership transition comes alongside a broader reshaping of our company. In the face of significant sector-wide shifts, TRG has had to make tough choices about the composition of our workforce. Yet even in this changing landscape, we remain unwavering in our commitment to providing the highest-quality OD services such as leadership development and learning, coaching, strategic planning and assessments, retreat or training design and facilitation to our clients.

True to our collaborative spirit, we have also opened our physical space and our hearts to our federal and federal contractor colleagues, many of whom were deeply impacted by the recent aid freeze. Our offices have become a place of community and reflection, where friends and partners can gather, support one another, and begin to chart new paths forward together.

We remain committed to our continuing work with long-term clients, and we have been exploring new opportunities for impact closer to home through domestic work and new institutional partnerships. We continue to leverage and grow our expanded consultant network and are finding this new direction full of potential. We are excited to explore opportunities with partners who share our values and vision for more just, inclusive, and resilient systems.

With Sherise’s leadership, and the foundation Ailea and so many TRGers past and present have laid, we move forward with open hearts, steady hands, and a clear sense of purpose. We remain curious about what is still possible and optimistic about our ability to continue working alongside those who are creating positive change in a world that needs it now more than ever.
